The Security Services offerd will have as a minimum. the same extensive hiring practices as all SSi employees with the addition of the Security Requirements. Our 4-level management interview process involves the use of a specific work sheet with completency and desired placement criteria. We also use a detailed job specific description that includes employee commitment and signature. Employees also receive career path advice and mentoring through out their employment. Every service we provide includes our safety culture that is part of every employee. We focus and train on proactive hazard recognition in the provision of a safe work environment. This culture becomes a part of each individual where we continue to receive testimony of safe practices at home with family members and themeseleves. Our desire is to share our safety excellence that is the result of combining our customer's best practices with our own innovation.


  • 2.1 Sturgeon will provide 8 hours of Safety Specialist time per month fo 12 months with the Security agreement of 3 years for no cost.
  • 2.2 Safety Specialist will perform advice and be available to the direction of its clients as well as check on Security personnel.
  • 2.3 Other core services that Sturgeon supplies is available to clients. Including but not limited to: Tier II Rescue. Lean / Six Sigma value tracking, earth work, tank cleaning and maintenance.
  • 2.4 24 / 7 Emergency Response resources available to you, that Includes all types of spill response and incident containment, we are Cal Trans preferred supporter.


  • 1.1 First Aid CPR - Certified CPR training through the Medic First Aid training program.
  • 1.2 40 hour Hazwapper Trained
  • 1.3 Emergency Response Traffic Control - All guards are trained on CAL Trans traffic control as part of our contractual obligation as their service provider
  • 1.4 All SSI employees must pass Home Land Security background test and receive a photo ID. This requirement is done for all government contract work and maintained as
  • 1.5 Lean Sigma Training to a minimum of White Belt Proficiency. This includes the ability to gather and maintain data tracking with a trained observation on value enhancement.
  • 1.6 40 hour Guard Training Certification that includes a focus on detainment.
  • 1.7 8 hour Emergency Response Training: As part of Sturgeon Services core competences, we provide 24/7 Emergency Response in CA that includes but not limited to, spill containment and clean up using all variations of materials and equipment. This training includes first responder and medical transportation procedures for injured workers.
  • 1.8 Trained in post accident information gathering including time line placement as part of our TAP Root Analysis.
  • 1.9 Fire Training is included in SSI pre employment training as a first responder that includes, reporting, and hands on fire extinguisher use.
  • 1.10 Drug Testing, All guards are trained by our safety personal on the procedures and policies of drug sample collection
  • 1.11 Valid Drivers License - All Sturgeon employees upon application must provide a 10 year DMV print out.
